5 Traits You Need To Have To Be A Successful Digital Marketer

Have you always wanted to be a digital marketer? Here are 5 attributes that you should have for you to be a success:

Be flexible to change

Just like in any other technology driven area, the digital marketing arena changes fast. The strategies that worked yesterday may not work today. A great example is the SEO aspect of marketing. Years ago SEO was more technical, but this isn’t the current situation. Nowadays it thrives on content creation and relationship building. This means that if you are marketer and you rely on the technical aspects of SEO you will head nowhere.

Veteran marketers recommend that you always be ready to change and use the methods that are working at the current time. They recommend that you should be scared of remaining stagnant.

Be hungry of information

As mentioned, the digital marketing world is fast paced and just like any other fast evolving field you will be left behind if you don’t move with it. To know the current trends you need to develop hunger for knowledge. The easiest way of going about it is regularly reading authoritative websites.

Be competitive in nature

The whole essence of marketing is getting your name or that of your product or service out in the market. For you to make sales you need to trump your competitors. This calls for you to have thorough knowledge of your competitors and what they are doing right and wrong. Always aim at improving on the best strategies used by your competitors and capitalise on the mistakes that they do.

Be a lover of data

There is no point of doing marketing if you don’t know where you are coming from and where you are going. To know how you are progressing you need to track your traffic and conversions. To do this you use analysis and reporting tools that present information in form of data. You should be able to interpret the numbers and understand how to use them to your advantage.

Be creative

In your journey in digital marketing you will come across road blocks. To go past the handles you should be creative and device ways of keeping on with the journey. For example, if your content marketing tactics aren’t working, you should be able to come up with ideas on how to create content that will give you more success.

Conclusion

These are the traits that you need to have to be a successful digital marketer. If you already don’t have them work at acquiring them.

Weighing the Sufferings of Poor Nutrition

Being a registered nurse and weighing the sufferings of poor nutrition has made me a strong advocate in educating others of the benefit of choosing a healthier lifestyle. Many of these sufferings quite possibly could have been prevented with good nutrition. Poor nutrition can contribute to fatigue, illness and increased expenses and just an overall lack of zeal for life. Just making a few tweaks to our daily lifestyle can make a world of difference to our daily quality of life.

In your quest to weigh your sufferings that may be caused by poor nutrition, look at a few of the more obvious areas that may be lacking such as fatigue, illness and expenses.

Fatigue- Are you suffering from fatigue? You would not be alone. As a matter of fact, this has been stated to be one of the most common reasons for someone to see their doctor. Of course, a lot of things could contribute to someone feeling fatigue and these should be evaluated by your physician. It is hard to not to be fatigued though with the stress of today’s world and all the things we deal with on a daily basis. Poor nutrition only makes it more difficult to cope and combat the daily stresses. Obviously, there are other areas in your life that you will need to look at when addressing possible reasons for fatigue such as your stress level, overall health and activity level to name a few. I believe laughter is also a big part. I believe it is important to laugh daily. Good nutrition, however, can increase your energy immensely as well as aid the body in fighting off illness.

Illness- Are you suffering from frequent illnesses or maybe a chronic condition? Poor nutrition makes you more susceptible to illness as well as making it more difficult to recover from illness. It can also worsen certain chronic conditions. Your body requires the proper amounts of vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats, protein, amino acids and water to effectively break down foods into forms your body can use. If a deficiency exists, then certain organs or tissues of the body can become more susceptible to illness immediately and over time. There is much research into many conditions that appear to be nutrition related. Good nutrition, however, can help you to stay well and improve existing chronic conditions. Waiting until illness hits to improve nutrition can not only cause needless suffering, but also cost you more money in medical costs throughout your life.

More expense- Are you feeling like there is always more month than money? With the potential increase in illness and low energy with poor nutrition, there will always be the tendency for more medical bills and loss of work. Not to mention the cost wasted on the typical junk food. One does not have to forego all junk food to save money, however, or to be assured of getting adequate nutrition. It’s a balance. The fact is your body needs the proper nutrition to function at its highest level to help you have the most energy possible, the best health possible and optimize your hard earned money. Why not work on that balance and feel as good as you can.

Finding balance- So as you have weighed the sufferings of your possible poor nutrition, how then can you find a balance in your life? It’s a lifestyle change, really starting with your mind set. Realizing it doesn’t have to be made dreadful. You can still eat a fast food burger now and then or have a bowl of ice cream. It’s about looking at your daily intake choices on a consistent basis. Typically, some simple changes can help a lot, like decreasing fast food, eating lower fat, lower sodium and lower sugar as well as choosing baked foods over fried, increasing fruits and vegetables and of course, drinking plenty of water. If your general diet is more nutritious, then it will allow an occasional junk food item without the guilt or consequences of eating a diet generally poor in nutrition content.

E-Commerce – The New Frontier, Yes It’s STILL New

E-commerce is a relatively new invention as far as commerce is concerned and therefore has not completely stabilized. There is a vast amount that people do not know about e-commerce; it’s possibilities and it’s risks. There are also a large number of people that do not know about e-commerce at all.

The internet has grown by 215% in the last 7 years and even this growth through out the world encompasses only 17% of the total population.[Int] Considering the figures from [Int] the opportunity for e-commerce is astounding and at the same time the risks and destabilization factors are just as great.

Simply because we can cite a couple of companies that have survived the .com bust and prospered such as Yahoo, Google, and Amazon.com, we cannot say that e-commerce has stabilized. There is no way of knowing whether it has stabilized or not.

[Lev99] illustrates that it was the human interaction that drove the rise of civilization and eventually the internet and it is this very same force that will keep e-commerce from stabilizing completely. Some businesses will never be able to transfer all operation to e-commerce simply because of the human interaction factor that humans desire. You can send an email, but it will never be as effective as a phone conversation; while a video conference will never replace throwing back a few cold ones during a business deal. As long as every business is not able to completely operate on the internet without the bricks, e-commerce cannot be considered to be a stable operating medium for a business.

Nevertheless, e-commerce is essential for the success of modern businesses because of the pervasiveness of technology and the current drive toward automation. The internet enables e-commerce to span the globe and to give companies reach into corners of the world where access was impossible previously. To leave out e-commerce form a business model could be a devastating mistake.

E-commerce security also has a long way to go before it stabilizes. Firewalls and even biometrics can be defeated with clever exploits and social engineering opening the way for significant destabilization within e-commerce. There is nothing in ecommerce resembling the vault at Ft. Knox. Even NSA computers have been hacked and White House websites defaced. Until security on the internet is stabilized e-commerce can hardly be said to have stabilized.
